A little about me...

I'm Valerie Franklin, First Grade Teacher at Hazel Grove.  I'm currently in my 15th year teaching.  I taught Pre-K for 5 years at Little Dreamers Academy before starting at Hazel Grove.  Since starting at Hazel Grove 10 years ago, I have had the pleasure of teaching Kindergarten and First Grade.  I hold a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice, a Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education and I am currently pursuing my Specialist Degree.  Teaching has been my dream job since I was in the 2nd grade and used to teach my stuffed animals and Barbies!

I am a mom of two.  I have a daughter in 6th grade and a son that's about to be 20 years old!  Both my children went to Hazel Grove as did my husband and father-in-law.  I have a long history with Hazel Grove, and can't imagine being anywhere else! 

My husband Jeff owns his own business here in Habersham where we love living and raising our family.
