Welcome to the Hazel Grove Elementary School Media Center
The staff of the Media Center recognizes that acquiring and processing information must start very early in life. A top priority of the Hazel Grove Media Center is to work with the classroom teacher to instruct students in the acquisition of information access skills. Individual needs of literacy and opportunity for success are special concerns of the media program. The program must endeavor to offer services that will enhance and promote individual learning styles and time tables. Encouraging and motivating students to become lifelong readers is the ultimate goal of the Hazel Grove Elementary Media Center. The Media Center is a welcoming and happy place where learning and caring go hand in hand. Teachers, staff, and parents all work together to help enhance and support the instructional and emotional needs of students.
The Media Center is open from 7:45-2:40 each school day. Students in Kindergarten may check out one book at a time. Students in grades 1-5 may check out two books at a time. Students will be responsible for the cost of lost or damaged books.
