Mrs. Gosnell
Hello! My name is Kellie C. Gosnell. I am a native of Habersham County. I attended Habersham county schools Kindergarten thru twelfth grade. After high school, I owned and operated Red Barn Coffee shop for many years before returning to Piedmont University (then College) where I received my bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education. After graduating from Piedmont, I attended the University of Maine, where I received a masters in Special Education and began my teaching career here in Habersham. Before coming to Hazel Grove, I taught Special education for seven years. I am starting my eleventh year teaching second grade here at Hazel Grove, the BEST little school in the county. This is my eighteenth year teaching in public schools and my twenty-first year in all.
I am married to my precious husband,Jock, who is also a native of Habersham county, and we have one daughter, Ella-Claire. Ella-Claire will be entering seventh grade.
Outside of school, I love attending church with my family. My second favorite past time, is watching Ella-Claire ride her horse, June, and competing in the hunter/jumper ring. I also enjoy growing flowers, canning and preserving garden vegetables, our dog, Sunny, sunrises and sunsets, finding seashells and sea glass at the beach and being at home with my family. I love coffee, antiquing, spending time with my dearest friends.
At school, I love to read stories to my students, making crafts to go with our lessons, decorating our classroom for ALL the holidays, celebrating each students birthday, and watching each child learn and grow.
