English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)
Welcome!
I am Bea Samples Lackey, the ESOL teacher. This is my tenth year at Hazel Grove Elementary and my seventeenth year of teaching. I provide small group and one-on-one instruction for our students in guided reading, where we work on the four areas of language proficiency. These include: listening, speaking reading, and writing. I feel this provides the most impact on student achievement because reading is necessary for all content areas.
I am married to Noah Lackey and we live in Baldwin. I have two children, Jacob and Kelsey. Jacob, is a lieutenant with the Hall County Fire Department. He lives here in Cornelia with his wife Hannah and their two daughters, Oaklynn and Ellie Kate. My daughter Kelsey lives in Alaska and works with clients with disabilities.
Working with English Language Learners is my passion and I am thankful for the opportunity to get to work with your child!

Ingles para Hablantes de Otros Idiomas¡Bienvenidos!
Soy Bea Samples Lackey, la maestra de ESOL (Ingles para Hablantes de Otros Idiomas). Este es mi decimo ano en la Escuela Primaria Hazel Grove y mi decimoseptimo ano ensenando ESOL. Ofrezco clases en grupos pequenos e individuales a nuestros estudiantes. Participo durante la lectura guiada en grupos pequenos para su estudiante, donde trabajamos en las cuartro areas de dominio del idioma: compresion auditiva, expresion oral, lectura y escritura.
